Formerly the Glasgow Transport Museum, Kelvin Hall is one of Glasgow’s most iconic historical sites, having recently reopened as an exhibition centre following a £35m refurbishment. The multifunctional building is part leisure centre, part library and is home to 1.5million pieces from Glasgow’s civic collection, the National Library of Scotland’s Moving Image Archive.
As part of the revamp, Kelvin Hall enlisted LG in partnership with SSUK to deliver the latest LG commercial displays and digital signage applications to the centre, installing screens throughout the building and in the fitness suites to enhance the visitor experience. A stellar feature of the installation is the 4x2 full HD videowall that constitutes a virtual spin studio, powered by a Virtual Fit Box.
